Gian d'Ornellas is a Partner with Rosenzweig & Company, and head of CriticalKnowledge. He has been engaged in finding and developing world class talent for more than two decades.
Gian brings substantial professional experience to identifying and evaluating talent. He has led hundreds of complex, highly specialized searches covering a range of sectors for global Fortune 500 companies, leading national organizations, and an array of mid-size and fast growing early stage companies, as well as high profile non-profits and academic institutions. Many of the searches he has been engaged with have been global in scope, covering North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
He holds special expertise in diversity recruitment and has been engaged by a number of prominent corporate, non-profit and academic organizations to drive diversity hiring for key roles.
Born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, Gian is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Harvard University, with a degree in organizational behaviour and psychology. He is a recipient of one of Harvard's most prestigious awards.
Gian spent his early career as a financial analyst with a major Wall Street investment bank and as a management consultant with a prestigious global management consultancy in Munich, Germany, working with prominent financial services institutions across Europe.
Gian has worked closely with the CEO’s of a number of organizations over the years on developing strategy and talent in multiple sectors (telecom, loyalty, information technology, real estate). He has served as a Director on the Boards of several private companies, including on executive and CEO search committees for those boards.
