Jeff is a seasoned corporate executive and management consultant, Jeff brings a unique balance of human resources management and strategy consulting experience gained in diverse industries around the globe.
Jeff brings a strategic mindset honed over 10 years at McKinsey & Company, in its organization performance practice and then as co-founder of its Growth Practice. He served clients in industries including financial services, retail, industrial and high-tech, in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia on issues encompassing cost-cutting and restructuring, human resources and organization performance, and growth strategy and business building.
Prior to McKinsey, Jeff held senior HR positions in Canada and the US, with Amphenol Corporation, formerly a division of AlliedSignal (now Honeywell), American Express, and SHL Systemhouse. More recently he headed up HR, volunteers, language services, and accreditation for the 2010 Olympics; established his own consulting firm, Growth Alchemy Group; and was Sr. Vice President, Human Resources at CMA Holdings (also known as MD Financial) in Ottawa.
Jeff holds an MBA from Western and a BA from Queen’s where his focus was on organizational behaviour.
Jeff has served six years as an elected Trustee of Queen’s University and Director of the Queen’s Alumni Association, and has volunteered as a member of Queen’s Council on Athletics. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee for the 250M Queen’s Centre project, and the Board’s Advancement Committee. He was a Council member of the Toronto Board of Trade , chairman of its Race Relations committee, and a member of its Labour Relations committee. He is also a past President of the Toronto Junior Board of Trade, Governor of Variety Village in Toronto, and Chairman of the Vanier Cup – Canada’s University Football Championship. For fun, he is the photographer for the Queen’s Golden Gaels football team.
