ROBERT CARILLO
Robert Carillo is Head of Partnerships & International
Development at
SkyPower. He is responsible for developing new
domestic and international partnerships.
Formerly a corporate lawyer specializing in
corporate finance and energy project
development at Bennett Jones LLP in Toronto, Robert
has represented various Canadian
and American developers in transactions for the
development, construction and operation
of major wind parks in the United States and Canada.
Robert is a member of the Canadian Wind Energy
Association (“CanWEA”) and the
American Wind Energy Association (“AWEA”) and was a
presenter at AWEA’s 2006
conference in Pittsburgh and 2007 conference in Los
Angeles. Robert was also a presenter
at Global WindPower’s 2006 conference in Adelaide,
Australia and a presenter at China-
Asean Power Cooperation & Development Forum in
Nanning, China, in 2007.
Robert was called to the Bar in France in 1993 and
in Ontario in 2001. He holds an LL.B.
in Civil Law from Laval University, an LL.B. in
Common Law from the University of
Victoria, and an LL.M. from the Université de
Nice-Sophia Antipolis (France). In addition,
Robert holds an Advanced Degree in Economics from
the University of Nice-Sophia
Antipolis (France).
Robert is fluent in French, English and Italian, and
conversant in Spanish.
